Ok, so I'm blogging. Kinda. This is my first post, and most of you reading this know I've kinda been resisting the blog. I'm in the social media profession, and I kinda felt like I was the only one in my industry without a blog. I'm not sure where the resistance was coming from...Too much time? Too much effort? Too much of me already out there in cyberland? Not sure. I know that I can write and that I love to write, but wasn't sure where a blog fit into my personal writing scenario. But here it is. I don't know what it's about yet, or where it's gonna take me, but I'm just going to write and hang on for the ride.
I named the blog "No Filter" b/c most of you also know that I struggle with having been born without that very important part of a person's mental anatomy known as an "internal censor". Ya know, the thing that tells you to stop talking before you say something stupid, or embarrassing, or just way off base. Which may make the blog more interesting, but may also get me into trouble (just like in the real world). So, without cause or goal and with only a little bit of motivation behind it, here is my blog. If you stick around, I guarantee I will use my wit and humor and my lack of filter to make it fun for all of us. I'm sure I will write about my kids and about going back to work full time after being a SaHM/WaHM for a very long time, but don't call me a mommy blogger. Ever. I may not know what kinda blog this will be, but there's already enough mommy bloggers out there. I promise I will write about other interesting stuff also. Just don't know what they will be yet.
In a world of over what seems to be a gazillion blogs on every topic under the sun, I appreciate that you're giving mine a shot. As Oprah says, "Here we go!"
